Erin Petry

  • Title: 4T Academy Instructor

Erin Petry is a Career and Technical Education Instructor at Kanawha County Schools. With a diverse background in education, Erin has taught business, math, and graphic design classes. She is currently in her second year as a 4T Instructor at Ben Franklin Career Center, where she leads the 4T Academy—a partnership between Kanawha County Schools and Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia. This innovative program focuses on manufacturing production, preparing students with essential skills for success in the industry.

From 1991 to 2010, Erin founded and managed a successful embroidery and screen-printing business, overseeing all operations and strategically growing the company, further enhancing her expertise in entrepreneurship and operational management.

Earlier in her career, Erin was a Senior Staff Accountant - Audit at Deloitte Touche, LLP, where she led audit teams across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and non-profits. Her analytical skills and attention to detail ensured the timely and accurate completion of audit reports while maintaining effective client communication.

Erin holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Marshall University and Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Design from West Virginia University.

Outside of her professional achievements, Erin has been married to her husband, Eric, for 40 years. They have two grown sons and one grandson. In her free time, Erin enjoys quilting and sports photography.

Deana Marcum

  • Title: Human Resources Manager
  • Company: Toyota West Virginia

Deana Marcum is the Human Resources Manager at Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia, Inc. (TMMWV) in Buffalo, WV. The plant, which spans 2 million square feet and employs around 2,200 team members, manufactures 4-cylinder engines for Lexus NX and RAV4, as well as 2.4L turbo engines for Lexus RX and Highlander. Additionally, the plant produces 6-speed automatic transmissions for Highlander and Lexus ES, along with hybrid transmissions for Highlander, Sienna, Lexus RX, and Lexus NX.

Deana has more than 19 years of experience at Toyota, having started her career in 2005 as an Accounting Analyst. She transitioned to Human Resources as Manager in 2012. Throughout her career, her responsibilities have included financial reporting, budgeting, compensation, benefits, payroll, communications, diversity initiatives, staffing, training, special projects, and community outreach.

Before joining Toyota, Deana held accounting and human resources roles at American Alloys, Ravenswood Aluminum, and Pechiney Rolled Products.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, both from West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Montgomery, WV.

Deana is an active community member, serving on the Ben Franklin Career Center Advisory Board and the Putnam Career & Technical Center Advisory Board for their 4T program. A lifelong West Virginia native, she lives in Point Pleasant, WV, with her husband of 31 years, Lewis. They are navigating life with their college-aged children, Danielle, who attends Middle Tennessee State University, and Ethan, a student at Marshall University.

Jason Wilburn

  • Company: Paul Wissmach Glass Co.

Jason Wilburn is the President and CEO of The Paul Wissmach Glass Company in Paden City, WV, which he and his wife, Annabelle Javier, purchased in 2021. Established in 1904, Wissmach has continuously operated in Paden City, West Virginia, manufacturing glass for creative applications. Wissmach’s colored glass comes in a wide variety of textures and is used by artists, builders, and crafters who contribute to making the world a more beautiful and creative place.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Manufacturing Management from Pennsylvania State University. He has also attended several executive education courses in leadership, strategic planning, and negotiation.

Alongside his work at Wissmach, Jason serves on the Stained Glass Association of America board, the West Virginia Workforce Development Board, and is the president of the West Virginia Manufacturers Association Education Fund board. Outside of work, Jason enjoys traveling with his wife and two sons, skateboarding, and practicing yoga.

Geoff Christian

Geoff brings over 25 years of experience in employee benefit plans for employer groups, specializing in employee benefits captives, self-funding arrangements, and employee risk reduction. His expertise extends to educational programs for employees and employers, with a focus on cost-reduction strategies.

Highly active in his community, Geoff has served as President of the Charleston Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CAIFA), is a former member of the West Virginia Agent Exchange Advisory Group, a former Board Member of IIAWV, and currently sits on the Public Employee Insurance Agency (PEIA) Finance Board. 

Geoff is a respected leader and influencer within the community, dedicating his time to youth sports and several nonprofit organizations. Whether coaching the “Golden Puppies” soccer team or leading the John Adams Middle School Ski Club, Geoff’s commitment to fostering community engagement is evident.

Rachel Coffman

Rachel Coffman is the President and Founder of Coffman Collaborative LLC, a strategic communication firm in Charleston, WV, specializing in external and internal stakeholder management through community relations, governmental affairs, and public relations for manufacturing, energy and the transportation sectors in the Appalachian Region. With over 15 years of experience in public relations and public policy strategic execution, she serves the needs of the firm’s clients ranging from multi-national companies in automotive and chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, trade associations, and nonprofits using her several years of political and communications experience focusing on policy development, state legislative affairs, integrated campaign development, crisis communications, reputation management, media relations, social media planning, photography, and graphic design implementation. 

​Coffman is a past co-chair for the WV Manufacturers Association governmental affairs committee and is a member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s governmental relations, economic development, and environmental committees. She is the West Virginia representative for the National League of Women Lobbyists and was selected by the Institute of Public Relations for the 2023 IPR Elevate program. She is a past president of the PRSA WV Chapter and serves as the chapter's PRSA Assembly Delegate 2023-2026. Also, she serves on the PRSA National Membership Committee, as co-chair. 

Prior to her founding Coffman Collaborative, Coffman was Vice President at TSG Consulting where she worked over a decade in state governmental affairs. In 2022, she was named the 2022 WV PR Practitioner of the Year by the PRSA WV Chapter, other awards are; State Journal honoree for the 2021 Generation Next: 40 Under 40, Young Gun by WV Executive Magazine 2018, Young PR Professional of the Year Award by the PRSA WV Chapter in 2012, and WV Living Wonder Woman -2023. 

Coffman received her M.B.A. from the University of Charleston in 2011 and was a magna cum laude graduate of Marshall University W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2008 concentrating in public relations. In 2019, Coffman completed a graduate certificate in Business, International Relations, and Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Continuing her education journey, she completed a Sustainability for Industry course from the Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT) in 2023. 

She holds professional certifications from the Public Relations Society of America in crisis communication, reputation risk management, and FEMA public information officer training in incident command protocol.
