Jeff Nehr has more than 35 years of experience in pipeline hydraulic design, gas supply and measurement, marketing, and corporate development. He joined Hope Utilities in 2022 and serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Hope Gas and Hope Utilities, where he leads the company’s sales, marketing, and government affairs teams.

Jeff plays a central role in advancing Hope’s large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional development projects, including data center initiatives in West Virginia and Ohio. He also leads the company’s Residential Fuel Cell Program with WATT Fuel Cells, which is developing efficient, low-emission power systems for residential customers. His portfolio further includes leadership of Hope’s renewable natural gas and hydrogen initiatives, positioning the company for the evolving energy landscape.

Before joining Hope Utilities, Jeff held multiple leadership roles at Peoples Natural Gas and Equitable Gas, including Manager, Director, and Vice President of Commercial Operations, as well as Senior Vice President of Gas Supply and Corporate Development. Throughout his career, he has focused on expanding producer and customer opportunities, leading mergers and acquisitions, and managing high-performing teams across marketing, producer services, gas supply, and measurement.

Jeff has developed and implemented major corporate market strategies that drove sustained revenue growth and served as project developer for several significant energy infrastructure projects, including the 21 MW Airport Microgrid, the Allegheny Health Network Wexford Hospital Combined Cooling, Heat and Power Plant, and the Allegheny County District Steam Plant.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh XXXIV and has been an active member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, Renewable Natural Gas Coalition, and the American Gas Association.

He also volunteers as a coach with Miracle League Baseball, an organized baseball league serving children and adults with special needs.
